The concert "Sounds from the Shtetl", which took place under the musical direction of the guitar virtuoso and composer Roberto Legnani in the overcrowded Schlossbergsaal of the Südwestfunk Freiburg and will soon be broadcast on radio, is one of the most lasting musical events in the Jewish-non-Jewish dialogue. [...] The "Sounds from the Shtetl" have three highlights. The "Ciclo hebraico" by Roberto Legnani represents, in the style of the musical mood pattern that has existed since Vivaldi, a purely prayer-like sound image composition about the three most important Jewish holidays Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Passover. Even the listener can appreciate the meaning and importance of these Jewish Holidays do not know anything, but their essence could be approximated by the sound image achieved here. [...]. The appropriately serious music of the personal annual balance (Rosh Hashanah) follows, musically translated in a fascinating way, the ascent of prayer to heaven, the reconciliation with Gd (Yom Kippur).
